This session will present information on a multi-timescale hydro model used to investigate the significance of updating the hydrological data during power system planning and operation studies. The study reveals that the absence of multi-timescale hydrological conditions in models will increase the overestimation of hydropower units and cause power balancing and frequency stability issues in steady-state and dynamic transient events.
