Environmental Issues and Water Management

Detailed, accurate rainfall-runoff analyses based on one- to two-week lead-time forecasts of precipitation are critical for quantifying the response of rivers and streams, threats to the public, and potential loss of critical infrastructure. The outputs explictly quantify risk for various levels of rainfall-runoff at a given dam site.
