New sustainability and environmental criteria are being developed for the provision of hydropower investment and to reach net-zero carbon goals.  This session will present on the Hydropower Sustainability Standard, a new global certification scheme; the publicly available G-res Tool for detailed assessments of greenhouse gas emissions, including reservoirs; and understanding biodiversity impacts of hydropower operating under high renewable power grid operations.
