Based upon a career of emergency response to a number of major flood events in western and northern Canada, Dr. Kenyon will share the lessons he learned in Canada during the historic Assiniboine Basin Flood in southwestern Manitoba in 2011, the Quill Lakes flooding in Saskatchewan in 2015, and the recent Southern Lakes flooding in the Yukon Territory in 2021, when a 1:1000 year flood event threatened properties on five different lake shore environments.
