Brett Bauer is Vice-Preseindent, head of Engineering and General Manager at Canyon Hydro. Formed in 1976 in the State of Washington, Canyon is a manufacturer of Pelton, Francis, Crossflow and Energy Recovery turbines. Mr. Bauer is a Mechanical Engineer and received a BSME from the University of Washington. He has been employed by Canyon for more than twenty five years as a Design Engineer, Manager and Project Manager. During his time at Canyon Brett has accumulated design experience from over 200 hydro projects including new turbine installations, turbine refurbishment or repair projects, and redesign or runner replacement projects. In addition to his education as an Engineer he is trained in Computer Aided Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Project Management. Mr. Bauer has both domestic and international experience in the design, installation and refurbishment of hydroelectric turbines.
