Christopher Ball brings over 35 years of domestic and international lending experience to the position of Executive Vice President of Corpfinance International Limited (CFI) and President of CFI Capital Inc. Due to the diversity of his professional experience and his commitment to infrastructure initiatives, Chris has become CFI’s infrastructure and power project specialist. In addition to his work in the increasingly important energy sector, Chris is responsible for managing CFI’s structured loan portfolio, where he is directly responsible for originating debt financing and advising on over 100 energy projects, Chris was instrumental in the initial funding of many of Canada leading hydroelectric development companies including Algonquin Power, Innergex Energy, and Borlex Power. One of his many roles is to oversee investments on behalf of large institutional investors who entrusted Corpfinance with the opportunity to manage their private debt investments Prior to joining CFI, Chris was a Vice President responsible for establishing the cross-Canada presence of Standard Chartered Bank. He also held various managerial positions with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Chris is a recognized speaker within the Hydro Electric Industry, a member of the Hydrovision Advisory Board, and a Director of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp.
