Chris Curtis, P.E., F.P.E., CFPS, NICET IV, has 17 years of experience as a licensed professional engineer with a technical focus on electrical and fire protection systems design for a variety of industrial, power utility, and DoD facilities. He was a low voltage electrician for 8 years prior to consulting, and possesses NICET Level IV certification in fire alarm systems. He has performed the electrical, generator protection & controls, and fire protection systems design for numerous hydropower facilities, from new greenfield to existing large powerhouses up to ~1000MW capacity. He is particularly enthusiastic about judicious application of new and emerging technologies that provide plant owners and operators with improved generation, asset protection, and personnel safety.
