Dean has more than 20 years experience in the Public Service, working at both the Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) and the Government of the Northwest Territories. He joined NTPC’s Engineering Department in 2001 as a Project Technologist. Over the next 20 years, Dean took on expanded roles and responsibilities in the areas of Operations and Maintenance and Asset Management before assuming his current role as Director, Hydro Operations. He holds a designation as a Registered Engineering Technologist in the mechanical discipline. In 2016, Dean was in an initial group of people who entered a new program for to achieve designation as a Certified Asset Management Professional and was the first registered graduate in Canada.
