Julie Smith-Galvin
Low Impact Hydropower Institute (LIHI)
Julie has spent her career working on communication, community, and policy issues surrounding clean energy deployment. Her hydropower experience is extensive. She worked on some of the very first carbon finance and REC deals to advance project development in Latin America and North America while at Enel Green Power from 1999 to 2008. In 2008, she joined Brookfield Renewables advancing from U.S. Communications Director to Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations for its global portfolio of energy assets. In 2016, she founded Green Path Strategies to more nimbly work with a range of clean energy organizations, IPPs and start ups on communications, media, community, and policy initiatives. The Low Impact Hydropower Institute is a long-time client which Julie is proudly representing this week at HydroVision.
