Laurent Nahmias-Leonard is an experienced renewable energy professional with 15 years of expertise in project origination, financing, and execution. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Corporate Development at Boralex, overseeing corporate strategy, project development, and M&A. He leads project commercialization and offtake origination in North America. Prior to this, Laurent was the Senior VP of Projects at Virunga Power, where he was responsible for capital raising, international partnerships, project execution, and sustainability implementation. He also held the role of Director of Commercial Management at Enercon, deploying a large portfolio of wind energy projects in Canada. Laurent earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, specializing in Private Equity and Impact Investing.
