Scott Flake
Scott has a strong and active background in California energy policy and project development. Scott provides clients with strategic insight for development of power generation development ranging from renewable energy, conventional generation, and pumped storage facilities. Currently a senior energy consultant, Scott is an expert navigating the complexities of permitting and project development in California. Previously at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) as Director and Senior Director of Power Generation and Iowa Hill Pumped Storage Development, Scotts team lead the licensing of the 688 MW Upper American River Hydroelectric project including licensing, permitting and design for the 400 MW Iowa Hill Pumped Storage Development. Scott recently helped lead the effort to develop Californias’ Electric Supply Strategic Reserve Program. The program has delivered 5 new projects, representing over 200 MW of new generation, on-line to support California’s electric grid and transition to a cleaner future for energy generation.
