Vishvas H. Chalishazar joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Power System Research Engineer in 2019 and became the Team Leader for the Grid Resilience team in 2023. He received his Bachelors of Engineering (Hons.) in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani-Dubai Campus, Dubai, UAE in 2011 and his Masters of Science in the Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University (OSU), Corvallis, OR, USA in 2016 where his thesis was on Designing of Nanostructured Optical Devices for Biosensing Applications. Vishvas received his Doctors of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from OSU in 2019 where his thesis was focused on Evaluating the Seismic Risk and Resilience of an Electrical Power System. His research interests include hydropower, grid resilience, renewable integration, etc.
